ONLINE AUCTION

Update July 7, 2020:

AUCTION

We are pleased to announce OUR FIRST ONLINE AUCTION!  Our Board Trustees have made it clear that our institutional priority is to keep everyone as safe as possible. This revised plan will provide buyers the opportunity to obtain unique weaving and artworks at the best prices in the southwest—something our museum’s auctions are famous for.

The postponed spring Navajo Rug & Indian Art Auction will be conducted online at:

https://bid.rbburnhamtrading.com

Bidding will begin at 1 PM on Saturday, July 11th and bidding will close at 12 PM on Saturday, July 18th. To register as a bidder, go to the site link. Registration is free.

Our auction will feature 171 items. As always, we have an amazing selection of Navajo weaving as well as pottery, baskets, jewelry, carvings, and other wonderful items in this auction.

Auction winners will be notified upon the close of the auction, after noon on July 18th. Winners MUST pick up their purchases the following week at MIP by appointment only. Please note that no shipping is available. While out-of-area bidders are welcomed to participate in the auction, if they have winning bids, they will need to arrange for someone to pick up their purchases on their behalf.

As always, winning bidders pay an additional 10% bidder’s premium at time of check-out, but there is no sales tax, as MIP is a 501(c)3 nonprofit.

Our auctioneers, R.B. Burnham & Company, are the facilitators of this online auction. The MIP extends gratitude to them, and to all our loyal members and friends for embracing this online format. We appreciate your support in these challenging times and wish you Happy Bidding!

MUSEUM

The museum will reopen at 1 PM on July 11 with a new Special Exhibit, Eye on the Storm, with a spectacular collection of storm pattern rugs from the Historic Toadlena Trading Post. Please review the above Health & Safety Statement for protocol which all staff and guests will be required to follow. The number of visitors inside the museum will be limited to 40 for social distancing. Masks are required.
