About the event
It's that time of year again! Kids are enjoying their summer break, and parents are wondering how they are going to afford their children all they need for the upcoming school year.
Please bring your donations of NEW backpacks, school supplies, or monetary donations to the museum during regular business hours in the month of June. Museum staff and volunteers will fill the backpacks and deliver them to the Native students in rural communities before the start of the new school year.
Last year, the Museum of Indigenous People was able to deliver over 400 filled backpacks due to the marvelous generosity of the people of Prescott. A new start for a bright future is on the horizon for 20223. Students who carry new gear with them on their first day of school are better prepared physically and emotionally to learn.
