Get Involved

The mission of the Museum of Indigenous People is to instill understanding and respect for the Indigenous cultures of the Southwest—and it comes to life through our community. Every donation, membership, and volunteer hour helps power the programs, exhibitions, and experiences that make MIP a vibrant place of learning and connection. Your involvement is what makes this work meaningful and lasting.

Your donation supports the continued efforts of the Museum of Indigenous People; to instill understanding and respect for the indigenous cultures of the southwest. The Museum of Indigenous People is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Thank you for serving the Museum of Indigenous People.

Be Part of the Exciting New Future

For nearly 90 years, the Museum of Indigenous People has preserved Indigenous stories and culture in Prescott. Now, we’re building what comes next. We’re creating a new Welcome Center a dynamic space for culture, education, artists, youth, and community connection that will serve generations to come.

Planned Giving

The mission of the Museum of Indigenous People is to instill respect and understanding for the indigenous cultures of the southwest. Our mission is furthered through exhibits, educational programs, and events, all funded through the generosity of our members, friends, and community organizations.

We are embarking on a program to raise awareness about the options available to members and friends to benefit the Museum of Indigenous People (MIP) in the long term, by planning a gift funded by your trust, will, life insurance, or investments. Initially, we are focusing on growing our endowment fund substantially to provide regular income to MIP into the future.
